Why database upgrade scripts located in /upgrades/ directory have incorrect reference to inc/application.php file ?

This is done to protect your website database from potential upgrade script executors in case you will leave /upgrades/ folder at the server. To run upgradeXXX-XXX.php script, copy it into website's main directory, run it from your browser and delete it. | |
